Cognitive Learning as viewed in 1900 as what 2000 would look like

Came across this image from someone presenting at World of Watson 2o16.  I heard great examples of machine learning being used against varying sources of data and information.  Also how Watson is being used to better predict the success of seeing eye dogs.  We definitley are moving away from rules based computation to pattern based machine learning.  Anyway enjoy this view of what the year 2000 would look like in the 1900s !

All the knowledge being ground up and fed into the minds of the students.  Has this really happened ?
